27 Sep Real Wedding – August 27th 2016 New Farm Park
I always like to capture everything about my bride and grooms and their big day. Once the celebrations are all wrapped up, I always ask if I can blog about the function, whether it be a wedding or a baby shower. It gives my followers some recommendations of vendors if they see something they like and it gives me another perspective of my client. I have been very fortunate in my role that I have become quite close to some of my brides and still talk to many of them even after their big day is done and dusted!
Upon completion of this particular wedding, I asked yet again if I could get some information so I could blog about it. The bride had written her feedback to me so beautifully, I wouldn’t dare tamper with her words. There is just nothing sweeter than someones love shining through their own love story! This amazing couple were so amazingly chilled out and relaxed about everything. It was absolutely clear that nothing mattered in the world, as long as they had each other! So please, feel free to read about a wedding I was lucky to be involved in at New Farm Park in August.
In Haylees’ words:
“James and I met 9 years ago in Perth. I had just moved to Perth after spending time living in south west WA with my brother. We instantly hit it off and became such great friends. I had never met anyone that made me laugh as much as James! One of our favourite things to do was go for drives in his ute or rides on his motorbike. We would spend all night talking, there was never any drama and it was also just so easy. After being friends for almost 3 years, and living together for a few months, we finally got together in 2010. In March 2013, we welcomed our beautiful son Michael into the world and in May James popped the question! There was a little cupcake shop that I loved and James came home with 3 boxed cupcakes. In 2 of the boxes, were 2 of my favourite cupcakes and in the third one was the ring! Of course I said yes! In 2014, we decided it was time for a change and we planned our move to Brisbane! We were so excited to start the next chapter of our life together. A few weeks prior to our move James had an accident which left him in intensive care. I was told that James wasn’t going to make it and to come to the hospital and say goodbye. I never knew it was possible to be so sad as I was in that moment. James beat the odds and miraculously made a full recovery. 3 weeks later we were set up in Brisbane!
On August 27th we married at New farm park under the rotunda. It was a stunning day. Our reception was held at Fridays Riverside overlooking the Brisbane river. We always wanted our wedding to be very laid back, relaxed and casual. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we were so blessed to have so many of our friends come over from WA to be with us. We are so excited to be starting the next chapter of our life as Husband and wife.
We are honeymooning in Fiji at the end of October.
